Sarah’s passion for food started at a young age when she had the opportunity to travel around the world with her family and later on her own. Being able to experience different cultures and cuisines really broadened her horizons on the various aspects of food as enjoyment, life, and sociability. Back in the states, she wanted to share her knowledge in order to emphasize a sustainable, lifestyle approach towards healthy living by optimizing her client’s nutrition and well-being.
With a focus on bringing back the basics such as slow food, home cooking, and eating as fresh and as local as possible; Sarah assists her clients with making long-term, sustainable behavioral changes. Since Sarah lives the life of the hustle and bustle in San Francisco, she also has a good understanding of juggling the busy lifestyle of work, business/leisure travel, and family/friends. With this knowledge, she can relate to her clients and assist them in learning how to juggle their lifestyle with their health and weight goals.
Sarah is bilingual in English and Spanish and has two Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Speech & Communications and in Spanish and a Master of Arts degree in Consumer and Family Studies from San Francisco State University. She is currently the Community Co-Chair for the Bay Area Dietetic Association. She also received the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award in 2011 from the American Dietetic Association as the California affiliate.
